President’s Patter, August 2020

Greetings one and all and what a great turnout we had last month for our first club night following lockdown.

The Open Mic suggestion proved to be a great success and a good way of seeing so many performers back on board and of course meeting up with our very loyal audience again.

This month, as outlined above we will be presenting a nice mix of musicians all bursting with song and energy ready to set the scene for the remainder of this year.

Many thanks to those that attended the AGM earlier this week.

As announced at that time we acknowledged the 3 committee members that are stepping down from  committee.

• Linda Brown our treasurer for the last 3 years and committee member and photographer for over 20 years. Linda has exercised a stellar job in managing the MA finances for which we are most grateful.
• Geoff Brown, vice president, communications manager and sounds assistant who has also been a committee member for over 20 years.
• Tim Thorpe who for the last 3 years managed the newsletter and mailing list and has been in an advisory capacity regarding many aspects of administration.

We wish you all well in your future endeavours and hope to see you relaxing and enjoying the music and becoming audience members from now on.

At the AGM it was decided to maintain the current membership fee and door entry.

This is a reminder opportunity that fees are now due. $15 per individual and $25 per couple.
